The Rave, located in Milwaukee Wisconsin is the perfect venue for musical acts that draw crowds large and small. The Rave houses the Eagles Club Ballroom, three additional stages and a separate bar. Located just west of downtown Milwaukee, The Rave is minutes away from the lakefront, and the Marquette University Campus.
The building was once a popular athletic club. It was built in 1926. Originally, the venue held boxing matches, hosted big bands in the 1940?s, and more. In time, the old style athletic clubs fell out of favor. The old style athletic clubs were replaced by facilities that are more modern. The building owners saw an opportunity to change with the times. Their plan was to convert the larger rooms of the building into separate venues. Depending on the needs of the artist, a fan could find themselves in any one of the four rooms in the building.
The largest room inside The Rave is called the Eagles Club Ballroom. That room has one of the biggest dance floors in the United States. The ceiling is four stories high, and the attractive nature of the room makes it a perfect venue for music videos. Fans of The Rave will find their own special spot in the hall and watch the show from there.
The Eagles Club Ballroom has a balcony that wraps around the entire room. On occasion, you will see VIP?s in the balcony. Other times, the balcony is closed to the public. The Rave Hall, a separate room in the building has a capacity of 1500. It has two levels, and a bar.
All the rooms at The Rave are available to rent. The rooms can be converted for weddings, corporate events, and private parties. The Eagles Club Ballroom has played host to many high society weddings over the years.
The performers who have played The Rave read like a who?s who. From Milwaukee Punk bands like The Crusties, to major recording artists like The Jonas Brothers, Morrissey, Trent Reznor, Killing Joke, Slayer, Fall Out Boy, The Yeah Yeah Yeah?s and many more.
