Penn State Earns an Invitation to the Pinstripe Bowl

After a winning season, going 7-6 in 2025, Penn State was invited to the Pinstripe Bowl. They defeated Clemson in that game, 22-10. The team came close to defeating Indiana, scoring a pair of fourth-quarter touchdowns and coming within three points. Ethan Grunkemeyer threw for 219 yards in that game, and Nick Singleton ran for 71 yards and two touchdowns. Grunkemeyer entered the transfer portal after the season came to a close.   

In 2024, the Nittany Lions finished their season with an overall record of 10-3. That record earned them a spot in the Peach Bowl on 12/30/23. Ole Miss defeated Penn State, with a final score of 38-25.  

Penn State 2022 Season History

Penn State found itself with an overall record of 11-2 at the end of the 2022 season. Just Ohio State and Michigan topped the team in the standings. The Nittany Lions finished the season with a streak of five wins. In the Big Ten Conference, the team's final record was 7-2. The final score of their Rose Bowl victory was 35-21. Against ranked teams, the Nittany Lions lost to both Ohio State and Michigan.

Drew Allar led the team with 344 yards in passing and four touchdown throws. His final quarterback rating for the season was a lofty 128.5.  Nick Singleton was the backbone of the team's offense. He ran for 12 touchdowns in 2022. He averaged 6.8 yards per carry and 156 carries.
