American Family Field is home to the Milwaukee Brewers baseball team, large concerts, and also plays host to individual soccer games, college and professional hockey, and more. Renamed in 2020, this iconic venue has a retractable roof for those chilly early-season Brewers games. Formerly known as Miller Park, American Family Field remains one of the best places to see a Major League Baseball game. For the best American Family Field tickets, check our event schedule here. Once you find the event that you would like to attend, click the "Buy Tickets" box. From there, choose the event tickets by section, row, ticket quantity, or price. The next step is to begin your secure checkout process. Once you complete checkout, your tickets will be delivered via email or mobile ticket delivery through an app. Be sure to download the MLB app for all Brewers ticket orders. American Family Field has four levels and a total of sixteen seating types. The current capacity stands at 41,900. Sellouts do occur from time to time. When the Cubs or Cardinals play the Brewers each season, the stands are filled with fans of both teams. It's just a 90-minute drive from the heart of Chicago, and St. Louis Cardinals fans also make the six-hour trip every season.
The Field Level is comprised of seven types of seating: Field Diamond Platinum, Diamond Box, Infield Box, Outfield Box, Bleachers Box, and Bleachers. Sections at the field level start at number 101 and run through section 131. Sections 101-104 are bleacher sections. 106-131 are sections between the foul poles.
The Loge Level has four types of seating: Diamond box, Infield box, Outfield Box, and Loge bleachers. Sections in the loge level start at number 201 and go through 236. Sections 201-205 are bleachers that rise above the field-level bleachers. Sections 233-236 are also bleacher seats. Sections 206-232 are between the foul poles, just above the 100-level seats.
The Club Level has two types of seating: Club infield box and Club outfield box. The Club level sections are numbered 306 through 345. Section 306 is down the right foul line. Section 345 lines up mid-way into the left outfield.
The Terrace Level has three types of seating: Terrace Box, Terrace reserved, and Bernie's Terrace. Terrace-level sections are numbered 404-442. Bernie's Terrace is made up of sections 441 and 442. The remainder of the terrace level sections surround the uppermost deck of the entire field.
For sunny afternoon Brewers games, the best seats for shade are along the first-base side and behind home plate. Sections 216–223 (Loge Level) and 420–428 (Terrace Level) benefit most from the stadium’s natural roof overhang. In the lower bowl, the Field Infield Box seats in Sections 117–125 begin to fall into shade as the game progresses, especially for 1:10 p.m. starts. For guaranteed sun protection, Club Level seats (Sections 330–338) are shaded and climate-controlled.
American Family Field features a unique fan-shaped retractable roof that can fully open or close in about 10 minutes. The Brewers decide on roof status based on weather, humidity, and wind, often leaving it closed for cold early-season games and opening it once temperatures reach the 60s. If the forecast calls for rain, the roof can be closed mid-game without delay. For real-time updates, follow @Brewers on X (Twitter).
Tailgating is a Milwaukee tradition, and nowhere is it stronger than in the lots surrounding American Family Field. All general parking lots open three hours before first pitch, and fans are welcome to bring grills, coolers, tents, and lawn chairs. Tailgating must end 30 minutes after the game starts, and charcoal must be disposed of in the provided bins. On weekends and rivalry games (like vs. the Cubs or Cardinals), arrive early — lots fill fast.
Each February, Brewers fans celebrate the start of the baseball season with the Arctic Tailgate — a one-of-a-kind event where diehards camp out overnight in near-zero temps to be first in line when single-game tickets go on sale. Free donuts, coffee, and fire pits make it a party despite the cold. It’s a local rite of passage and a testament to Milwaukee’s love for baseball.
To speed up entry and enhance security, American Family Field enforces a clear bag policy for all Brewers games and stadium events. Each fan may bring:
Fans may also carry in medically necessary items and diaper bags when accompanying a young child. All bags are subject to inspection at the gates.
Leave these at home to avoid delays or re-entry issues:
If you bring a non-compliant bag, limited on-site bag check lockers may be available near the stadium entrances for a small fee. Availability is not guaranteed, so plan ahead or travel light.
