Chase Field is the home stadium for the Arizona Diamondbacks. It first opened in 1998 at a price of 354 million dollars. For baseball, the current seating capacity is 48,405. Chase Field was the first baseball stadium to have a retractable roof. When the Diamondbacks are not in town, Chase Field is used for concerts, college sporting events, professional bull riding events, and bowl games. Since Phoenix can get so very hot, the roof is closed during baseball season.
As for special events, Hondo Rodeo Fest comes to Chase Field for three nights, starting on November 7, 2025. Chase Field is also the host venue for the Guaranteed Rate Bowl.
