FedExField first opened in 1997 under the name "Jack Kent Cooke Stadium." That name changed two years later, to the current FedExField. In 2004, the stadium had the largest capacity in the NFL. Six years later, a round of venue renovations reduced the capacity to 83,000. The stadium is home to the Washington Commanders

When the stadium was being built, an additional freeway exit was built to support the traffic. This is a five-level stadium, with names such as Bobby Michell level, Joe Gibbs level, and Pete Rozelle level.

As for suites at FedExField, there are 243 spread out across the venue. There are 15,044 club seats, in this open-air stadium. Improvements were needed after a water leak occurred and many people were injured after a barrier gave way.  

In 2023, the Commanders will play a pair of preseason home games at FedexField. As for concerts, Morgan Wallen will perform on September 2. The final game at FedexField in of the 2023-24 season will take place on January 7, against the Dallas Cowboys.
