The Detroit Lions call Ford Field their home stadium. Opening in 2002, the capacity was set for 65,000. For other events, the venue can hold 80,000 people. In 2006, Super Bowl XL was held at Ford Field. Other notable events that have occurred at Ford Field include the MAC Football Championship Game, the Quick Lane Bowl, Big Ten Conference action, and the Frozen Four.

2023 Quick Lane Bowl

Ford Field will host the Quick Lane Bowl once again. This relatively new college football bowl game began in 2014 with a game that featured Rutgers and North Carolina. In general, upwards of 25,000 fans will attend the game.
