Memorial Stadium is home to the Indiana Hoosiers football team. It seats just over 52,000 people on game day. Memorial Stadium first opened in the fall of 1960. After the 2003 renovations, 300 indoor club seats and nine luxury suites were available for sale. The stadium surface is made of "FieldTurf," which was installed in 2016. In 2005, a large limestone rock was installed in the north end zone. Former coach Terry Hoeppner had the rock placed there, and since that day coaches and players have touched the rock on game day for good luck.
