Petco Park By the Numbers

Petco Park is an open-air baseball stadium that first opened in 2004. It replaced Qualcomm Stadium for the Padres baseball team. The seating capacity in 2022 is 40,209. When it first opened, the seating capacity was 42,445. With the addition of luxury suites, the number of standard seats was reduced. 

Petco Park continues to be a great place for concerts. The first show took place on November 11, 2005, when the Rolling Stones performed in front of 42,000 fans. Big-name acts such as Taylor Swift, Paul McCartney, Weezer, Metallica, and Billy Joel have all performed there.
