The Resch Center opened in 2002. It's home to concerts and sporting events in Green Bay. The building was named after Dick Resch, an executive of a local office furniture company. The Resch Center is also the home court of the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay men’s basketball team, the Green Bay Gamblers ice hockey team, as well as the Green Bay Chill and Blizzard, both arena football teams. In addition to that, the building also hosts concerts. For example, the band Tool performed at the Resch Center on September 2, 2002, which was the first live concert in the building. The Resch Center also hosted the 2006 NCAA men’s hockey tournament Midwest Regional.
The maximum capacity of the Resch Center is 10,200 and the special types of seating break down as follows for the U.W. Green Bay men’s basketball team. Upper club seating is numbered 301, 302, 303, and 304. Next to the Upper club seating is the ADA East seating, which is suites 305, 306, 307, and 308. On the opposite side of the arena is the ADA West seating, and those are suites 318, 319, 320, 321, 322, 323, 324, and 325. The remaining general suites are 309, 310, 311, 312, 313, 314, 315, 316, and 317.
