Additional Target Center Info
Target Center Tickets
The Target Center is a multi-purpose venue that hosts all Minnesota Timberwolves home games. Built in 1990, the venue is considered to be old for the NBA. There have been three major renovations to the Target Center. The first renovation was in 2004, then again in 2014 and 2017. From the green roof to the large glass atriums, this venue has tried to keep up with more modern NBA arenas. In the early years, the venue played host to the 1994 NBA All-Star Game. In 2011, the WNBA Finals were held at the Target Center.
The first concert at the Target Center was none other than Mannheim Steamroller on 10/17/90. There were eight more concerts held that first year. In 1991 there were two dozen concert performances at the Target Center. By 1996, there were fewer live concerts at the Target Center, but they continue to this day.
In 2022, the Target Center update was completed. 145 million dollars was spent on infrastructure and guest experience improvements. AEG partnered with the City of Minneapolis during this project.
