Recently renamed the Gies Memorial Stadium, it's home to the University of Illinois football team. This site has been home to Illinois football, going back to 1923. The current name goes back to September 2025. The venue's biggest renovation started in late 2006 and was completed in time for the 2008 season. The improvements included better concourses, 5000 more seats, improved concession areas, and luxury amenities.
